In the Starcraft 2 game the Protoss race has more units available to them than any other race. This means that you learn more about how to use your different units with Protoss than with any other race. Understanding what all of the different units are good for is the best way to learn to use them effectively. While it would take quite a few articles to outline all the possible Protoss strategies, these common methods will help you get started when you jump into Starcraft 2 mutliplayer.

Zealot Rush

A Zealot rush is a good strategy against Zerg opponents. If you can get a few Zealots out before your Zerg enemy makes any Roaches or Hydralisks you have a chance to finish him off. Your first handful of Zealots should head to his mineral line, all the while looking for Zerglings that need to be taken out. Try to avoid his Queen until you have at least 3 or 4 Zealots available.

• Look out for any Spine Crawlers that he might be putting down, and watch out for a Baneling Nest as well.
• If you micro your Zealots properly you should at least be able to hurt his economy pretty significantly.
• Zealot rushes do not work well against Terran players because their Marines are effective at taking on Zealots, especially if the Marines have greater numbers and the player is good at micro control.

Dark Templar Rush

Dark Templars are the most useful in the very beginning of the game. To be successful, however, you must tech up to Dark Templars as soon as possible – loading up on gas and getting your Shrine in place fast, before they can scout it out. It is going to be hard to make them before Zerg gets a Lair and Terran has an Orbital Command Center, but it is possible. After you have your team of Dark Templars assembled, you should send them to your enemy’s base right away.

• Head straight for the mineral line and take out the workers first.
• If you are lucky you will be able to kill them and back off before you enemy knows what is going on.
• From there you should move in on any important buildings like Supply Depots.
• The longer you can go without being detected the better your army will do.
• If your Dark Templars are detected you should have them run away from the area right away.
• You can use them to harass your opponent again a little later.

Warp Prism Colossus Harass

This harassment strategy works very well for hurting your enemy’s economy with very little risk. You have to tech up to be able to get both Warp Prisms and Colossi. Get a Warp Prism and a Colossus and use the Warp Prism to take the Colossus around the back of your enemy’s base.

• After you are in position drop the Colossus down and target the workers.
• Leave it down there until enemies start to come.
• Before the Colossus starts taking damage, warp it back up.
• Continue doing this to avoid taking heavy damage while still dealing plenty of obnoxious attacks to their workers.

Starcraft 2 Zerg players find out how to successfully deal with your two most common counters – The MMM Ball and Void Rays.

As a Zerg player, you need to know how to counter the more popular builds. As you learn to counter these moves, you will start to win more games. While there are more than 40 units you might come up against in the game, below we will cover two of the most common strategies you will need, starting in Bronze League games, and going all the way up to Platinum level where master players will attempt to outmaneuver you.

Zerg Player Counters For Marines/Marauders/Medivacs The MMM Ball

This combination better known as a MMM ball has become the popular favorite of Terran players. A very devastating force can effectively go against most of the units out there. While it is a very intimidating build to go up against, countering this type of army is easy if you know what to do. The most basic strategy to handle the MMM ball is Infestors with a nice supplement of other ground forces.

• The Fungal Growth of the Infestors will give you a huge advantage over that mob of Marines and Marauders.
• On top of the Infestors you should also have Banelings, Roaches, Hydralisks, and maybe a few Zerglings.
• When approaching the enemy keep your Roaches up front to absorb all of that initial damage.
• Have your few Infestors cast Fungal Growth on the largest part of the group.
• A fantastic supplement to this is the use of Neural Parasite to help you use the Medivacs on your own units.

• Throw Banelings strategically into the Ball to take out as many of the units as possible before they break up.
• Move the Roaches on top of the army while using the Hydralisks to cut through the Marauders one at a time.
• Use your few Zerglings to catch any retreating units before they can be saved.

The key to this strategy is incapacitating the army before using your Banelings. Banelings are easy for Marines and Marauders to pick off if they are not paralyzed. Micro this build properly and your enemy may reconsider ever going with a MMM build against Zerg again.

Zerg Players Counters For Void Rays

Void rays can be absolutely devastating to a Zerg base if you’re not prepared for them. At the early stages of the game, your only defense to air units is your queen. A couple Void Rays will easily overpower your Queen, so more action must be taken. Hydralisks are the best units for holding off Void Rays early on in the game. Corruptors are even better for dealing with Void Rays but they take more technology than Hydralisks, which makes them unrealistic early on.  Even a few Hydras can hold off advancing Void Rays if they are microed well and you use your Queen to heal them.

Overall, if you sense a Void Ray rush coming your way; it is in your best interest to tech up as fast as possible to get more air defenses. Hydralisks are a bit of the way up the tech chart, so the sooner you can get there, the sooner you can hold off your opponent.

Overall, you will need to spend a tremendous amount of time tweaking your strategies for every unit that might get thrown your way. Gone are the days of “zergling rush” alone – tweak it just right and you can take on nearly anything thrown your way.

Starcraft 2 multi players here are three powerful Terran counters against Zerg opponents. If you are playing as Terran then you need to know how to deal with those Zerg’s. Find out how to counter Zerg Mutalisks, Zergling Rush, and Roaches.

Starcraft II is all about knowing and using different strategies. To be a successful Starcraft multi player you have to understand how to use all the different units. Knowing what units to make when your scout sees an army of Void Rays rushing your base is essential to being successful. Learn how to counter all of the most popular builds and you will start to win more often.

Terran Counter Zerg Mutalisks

Mutalisks are one of the most powerful Zerg air units and they are available early in the game, so you should learn how to take care of it quickly. Getting hit by a Mutalisk rush that you are not expecting can be a devastating blow that will often end the game immediately.

• The key to countering that rush on time is noticing a Spire in your enemy’s base.
• As soon as you see a Spire going up you should start massing up Marines and make sure that you have Stimpack researched.
• When you encounter the Mutalisks use Stim and burn them down.

• If it is later in the game and there are a lot of Mutalisks you can use Vikings to counter them.
• This strategy also works against any Void rays you have to deal with.
• Do not make the mistake of going straight to Marauders like many Terran players.
• Always have at least a few Marines as early anti-air protection.

Terran Counter Zergling Rush

As a Terran player you are not nearly as vulnerable to a Zergling rush as a Protoss player (provided you walled of your base), but it is still important to have a response ready for any Zerglings that get through your wall.

• If you have the right units at hand, taking out that swarm of Zerglings will be effortless.
• Start making Marines the moment you see Zerglings approaching your base.

• In most cases, a pack of Marines will be able to handle Zerglings without a problem.
• If you have the tech for some Hellions, you will be even more prepared for a Zergling rush.
• A couple Hellions can take out an army of Zerglings in seconds.

Terran Counter Zerg Roaches

When a Zerg player sends Roaches your way it can be a nerve wracking experience. Your Marines will have a hard time dealing with the thick skinned beasts that take forever to kill.

• Your best bet when Roaches approach is to build up your force of Marauders.
• Marauders are a natural counter to Roaches making them highly effective without too many supporting forces.

• Make sure to keep moving your Marauders away from the Roaches.
• Marauders are faster, hit harder, and have a longer range than Roaches.
• Micro your Marauders right and the Roaches will not stand a chance.
• Add in some Siege Tanks and Medivacs later in to the game to dealing with larger Roach forces.

Learning how to counter all of the most popular builds is going to help you take your game to the next level. The trick is scouting out your enemy properly so that you have time to counter whatever build he decides to go with.

Starcraft 2 multiplayers here are the common Protoss counters against Zerg and Terran Builds. If you are a Protoss then here is how to counter Mutalisks, Marines or Marauders, a Zergling rush, and a Reaper Rush.

When playing any match of Starcraft 2 it is very important that you know how to respond in certain situations. As soon as you know your opponent is mass producing Roaches you should immediately know which unit to start producing to counter that army. Knowing the counters to the popular builds will help keep you from drawing a blank when an enemy army is approaching.

Counter a Marine or Marauder Ball

A combination of Marines and Marauders is by far the most popular build that Terran players use. This build can be pulled off quickly and is difficult for a Protoss player to counter. By the time the cluster of Marines and Marauders has arrived you need to have at least one Sentry, a few Zealots, Stalkers, and a couple Immortals.

If you can manage to get all of these components before any big armies arrive you will be fine.

• Use the Zealots to hold back the Marines while your Stalkers take them out.
• Make sure to protect your forces with your Sentry’s Guardian Shield.
• If you have a few Immortals all of his Marauders will fall quickly.
• Just make sure to keep the Immortals near the back of your group.

Counter Mutalisks

Mutalisks can be a very annoying threat to counter as a Protoss player. The best counter to Mutalisks is the High Templar. A well placed Psionic Storm will severely hurt a group of Mutalisks. Phoenixes are also very effective against air units, but must be microed properly. Void Rays can also be effective, though not necessarily against a large swarm of Mutalisks.

• Add in a Sentry for their Guardian Shield ability and you have a decent Mutalisk counter.
• Make sure to fight any Mutalisk army near your base.
• Mutalisks are very fast and they will be able to leave your army behind if you’re not at your base.

Counter a Zergling Rush

The best counter you have to an early Zergling rush is getting Zealots out as fast as possible. You have to get Zealots to your ramp to wall off your base before the Zerglings can get in, otherwise you will have a hard time catching them.

• A single Zealot can handle a large number of Zerglings with ease so get those Zealots out and block in your base.
• It is also helpful to put up Pylons or a Gateway in front of the ramp to keep Zerglings from getting in.
• A basic wall and a steady stream of Zealots can hold off quite a few attacks if well placed.

Counter a Reaper Rush

A Reaper rush can be devastating early in the game. The easiest way to stop a Reaper rush is through early detection. Scout often so you know when he is sending out Reapers. To counter the rush you should create a few Stalkers.

• Stalkers are very good against Reapers and will make quick work of them.
• Make sure you are producing Stalkers before his Reapers get too close to your base and this counter should hold your line effectively.

Know your enemy and you will be well prepared for whatever they might throw your way.
Starcraft 2 is a game of strategy and counters – no matter how much fun you have throwing big guns at your opponent, you must be able to fall back and hold off their units with specific counters.
Protoss have many – study them well and you’ll be prepared for nearly anything.

One of the reasons your bouncer may not be kicking out the jerks is because they can only patrol a limited area. If your bouncer is off patrolling one area and a jerks kicks off a fight in another area your bouncer will not be able to stop him or her.

If you know how to position your Bouncer in a strategically smart spot, you’ll break up fights as soon as they start to happen, and that makes everyone happier.

Preventing Fights

Did you know that in NightClub City, fights don’t happen in tight areas, like the entrance to your club? So there’s no point in placing a bouncer at the door like you may be tempted to do. Well, that’s just one of the useful tips you could pick up if you played the game for hours and hours with careful observation and study. Sounds more like school than a game, doesn’t it?
